Model Description
Launched in 1997 amidst a flurry of activity by the Japanese factories to produce an ‘oriental V-twin’ in the wake of the continuing dominance of Ducati in world superbikes, the TL had a lot going for it: a punchy, powerful engine; decent trellis frame, classy build and a style all its own. Unfortunately a novel rotary damper suspension system allied with stumpy geometry also made it borderline dangerous. Although later modified its reputation never recovered. Today, however, it’s considered an appreciating classic.
