On ETX 150 crankcase covers and similar assemblies, the RB000676 M6x30 bolt is responsible for even, reliable clamping around the gasket. Its shoulder and thread length are chosen to give correct engagement without bottoming out.
Repeated service can distort or corrode smaller bolts, making them unreliable at spec torque. Swapping to this original bolt helps the cover sit flat, keeps oil inside, and reduces the risk of pulled threads in the softer crankcase material.
