Internal shaft alignment affects both smoothness and gear mesh, and RB000036 is the OEM Gegenwelle countershaft/balancer-type shaft specified for the ETX 150 crankshaft and piston group in 2014. It’s manufactured to the original journal and gear dimensions to maintain the intended timing and contact pattern with the mating components.
If you’re replacing the shaft, inspect bearings, oiling paths, and any driven gear surfaces for matching wear. Clean assembly practices matter here, since debris or burrs can score journals quickly after first start.
