Long fine-pitch fasteners are usually dedicated to high-load joints, and AP9100604 is an OEM screw specified as M12 x 1.25 with a 120 mm length, listed on MXV 450 Cross and RXV/SXV 450–550 applications (2006–2011), including rear shock absorber diagrams. This is a structural bolt intended to match the original stack height and thread engagement.
If the bolt has been over-torqued or run with dirty threads, replace it rather than chasing the threads with force. Clean the female threads, follow the OEM torque procedure, and confirm any spacers/sleeves are present so clamp load is carried correctly.
