Air leaks at the intake side are rarely subtle on a single-cylinder scooter, and AP8144510 is the shaped intake hose used across Scarabeo 125–200 (Rotax) and Scarabeo 125–250 (Piaggio engine) applications from 1999 to 2006. The internal diameter and bends are set to match the airbox and carb or throttle-body interface without distorting the clamp seat.
Rubber hardening and micro-cracking are common on older bikes, especially near clamp lines. Replacing the hose restores sealing and reduces the chance of lean running caused by unmetered air.
