When diagnosing ignition issues on RX125 and SX125 E4 models, the Piaggio spark plug cable with hood 2R000473 is a common replacement for insulation breakdown or poor continuity. This cable maintains the correct conductor length and connector fit for the 2018 RX125/SX125 ignition coil and plug cap, preventing weak spark delivery under load.
Heat cycling and vibration eventually cause micro-cracks in older cables, reducing ignition strength at higher RPM.
