A damaged damper rod will ruin seals fast, and 2R000341 is the OEM Stoßdämpferschutz designed to keep grit and spray off the shock body where the suspension is most exposed. The fit and lip geometry matter because a loose boot can chafe or trap debris against the damper.
MSP lists this cover for RX 125 E4 and SX 125 E4 rear body groupings (2018), so treat it as model-specific for mounting points and clearance around the inner fender. If you’re replacing it after a teardown, inspect the lower spring seat and any retaining clips that locate the boot.
