On the RX/SX/ETX 125 platform family, the flat washer RB000590 is specified as a load-spreading spacer in the gearshift/engine lever assemblies (notably 2014–2018 ETX 150 and 2018 RX 125/SX 125 E4 variants). It’s a plain steel washer intended to preserve stack height and protect joint faces under clamp load where small clearances matter.
In practice, this washer is doing two jobs: maintaining alignment in a rotating or pivoting joint and keeping fastener preload stable by preventing localized deformation of the mating surface. Reuse is fine if it’s still flat and free of galling; any dishing or fretting marks are a sign to replace to keep lever travel and indexing consistent.
