Motorcycle Spare Parts only sell genuine spare parts made by each manufacturer. The Feder part has been manufactured by Piaggio and is brand new and dispatched in its original packaging.
Small springs are easy to overlook until the mechanism starts feeling vague, and RB000172 is the OEM Feder specified for the ETX 150 gearshift mechanism group. The wire diameter and free length are what control the return force and detent consistency, so substituting “close enough” often leads to inconsistent indexing.
MSP shows it on ETX 150 (2014) under a second gearshift mechanism listing, which suggests a specific spring position within that assembly. Install it exactly as diagrammed, and check for burrs or corrosion on the posts it bears against to prevent premature fatigue.
