Airbox sealing and filter support depend on the base locating correctly in the box and clamping evenly, and AP9150531 is the OEM filter housing base listed for RXV-SXV 450–550 and RXV-SXV 450–550 Pikes Peak (2006–2009 airbox diagram coverage). It’s the base component that supports the filter element and interfaces with the surrounding housing.
Replace it if the sealing surface is warped, mounting points are cracked, or the filter no longer clamps evenly and shows dust tracking past the seal. Check the airbox lid and sealing foam at the same time; a perfect base won’t compensate for a distorted cover.
