The Selector Lock is a genuine spare part manufactured by Piaggio so you have peace of mind the Selector Lock part being sold by Motorcycle Spare Parts is both original and new.
Within the selector mechanism of RXV and SXV engines, AP9150063 functions as the OEM selector lock across 450 and 550 variants produced between 2006 and 2011. It contributes to positive gear indexing when the selector system is within specification.
Shift quality issues should be evaluated holistically, as this component works in conjunction with the selector shaft, pawls, springs, and drum track. Replacing the lock alone will not compensate for wear elsewhere in the mechanism.
