Used as a mechanical locking device, AP9100292 is the OEM lock plate fitted to RXV and SXV 450–550 engines produced between 2006 and 2011. It prevents fastener rotation in high-vibration areas.
Once a tab has been bent back, material fatigue reduces its effectiveness. Replacement during reassembly is recommended, with clean tab forming after final torque is applied.
