On Aprilia Sonic 50 2T applications, the AP8239089 oil tank is the molded plastic reservoir that mounts to the chassis using the OEM bosses and fastener locations shown for Sonic 50 Air and Sonic 50 H2O (1998–2008). The outlet and pickup positioning are laid out for the autolube feed line routing and a stable oil supply to the injection system without altering the original hose run.
If your existing tank has stress cracks, seepage at the outlet, or distorted mounting holes from over-tightening, replacement restores the designed sealing surfaces and fit against the surrounding panels. Use the stock grommets/isolators where applicable to reduce vibration loading on the plastic.
