In the RH controls grouping for SR 50 variants, AP8224620 is the OEM right-hand lights selector switch used across SR 50 H2O NEW (Di-Tech and IE+Carb), SR 50 IE+Carb MY, and SR 50 carb MY up to 2014. It replaces worn switchgear where contacts, detents, or housing seals have degraded.
As with any handlebar control, connector integrity and routing are the failure points. Ensure the wiring tail isn’t pinched at the headset and the plug is fully seated in the loom. If the old switch failed intermittently, inspect for corrosion in the mating connector before blaming the new unit.
