Mirror vibration and loosening on SR models is often traced to hardened isolators rather than the mirror itself, and AP8220453 is the OEM right mirror rubber listed for SR 125–150 plus SR 50 Air/H2O variants (including Ditech and IE+Carb. coverage, 1997–2012). It functions as the cushioning/sealing interface at the mirror mount to stabilize the assembly and protect the mounting surface.
Replace it when the rubber has cracked, compressed, or gone slick, especially if mirrors keep walking out of alignment. Tighten the mount to spec without crushing the rubber, since overcompression accelerates splitting and can skew mirror alignment.
