Small frame covers can be easy to miss until they’re gone, and AP8179098 is the type approval data cover used on Scarabeo 250/300/400-500 Light models (2006–2010). It’s a protective cap for the compliance plate/approval data area, keeping the label protected from abrasion and weathering.
The main requirement is correct snap/fastener engagement so the cover doesn’t loosen and rattle. If the retaining feature on the frame side is damaged, the cover may need the correct clip hardware rather than adhesive as a workaround.
