Within the Dorsoduro and Shiver platform range, AP8144276 is the specified joint used at designated sealing interfaces on models produced between 2007 and 2016. It appears in the factory diagrams for Dorsoduro 1200, Dorsoduro 750 ABS, Shiver 750, and Shiver 750 GT fuel vapour recovery systems.
Its geometry and material specification are chosen to maintain sealing integrity under thermal cycling and vibration. Substituting generic joints can lead to uneven compression or seepage, particularly if the mating surfaces rely on the joint’s profile for correct clamp distribution.
