Passenger footrest mounting hardware takes repeated load cycles, and AP8134280 is the rear footrest U-bolt used on Pegaso 650 and Pegaso 650 IE (1997–2004). It’s a clamp-style fastener that secures the rear footrest bracket or related mount to the frame/subframe structure as specified in the factory parts layout.
U-bolts tend to fail from thread corrosion, distortion, or fatigue after impacts to the footrest assembly. When replacing, confirm the mating bracket isn’t bent, since misalignment forces the U-bolt to clamp unevenly and can strip threads during torque-up.
