Where Aprilia uses coarse-thread fasteners into plastic or thin brackets, AP8124880 is the 4.2×19 self-tapping screw specified on Pegaso 650 and Pegaso 650 IE (1997–2004). Thread form and length are chosen to bite cleanly without needing a nut, while keeping stand-off and panel compression consistent.
If a panel has been on and off a few times, stripping is usually the failure mode, not the screw snapping. Use correct pilot condition in the plastic and torque by feel to avoid pulling threads or cracking tabs.
