The valve half-cone AP8122458 is a critical component in the valve retention system used on Leonardo 250–300 and Pegaso 650 models from 1999 to 2009. It locks the valve spring retainer to the valve stem, maintaining correct valve seating under high RPM operation.
Precision machining is essential, as improper engagement can lead to valve float or catastrophic valvetrain failure. This part supersedes earlier specifications and should be replaced in matched pairs during valve service.
