Hidden within the ignition assembly, the AP8121696 coil pull spring maintains correct tension and positioning of the ignition coil during operation. Its role is mechanical rather than electrical, ensuring repeatable movement and stable coil seating as engine speed and vibration increase.
This spring is fitted to several two-stroke and four-stroke Aprilia platforms including RS and Pegaso models built between 1992 and 2005. It should be replaced if stretched, corroded, or removed during ignition service.
