Designed for precise throttle control, the gas transmission return AP8114440 installs in the rear bore of the throttle twistgrip housing and operates as the return side of the push-pull throttle system. It is specified for Aprilia RSV 1000 models produced between 2004 and 2008 and is shared across several Piaggio Group platforms using the same throttle assembly geometry.
This component ensures consistent throttle snap-back to idle by counteracting cable pull force under all operating conditions. Proper routing and seating in the throttle housing are critical, as wear or deformation can compromise return speed and rider input accuracy, especially on high-compression V-twin applications.
