The Gas Valve 40 is a genuine spare part manufactured by Piaggio so you have peace of mind the Gas Valve 40 part being sold by Motorcycle Spare Parts is both original and new.
Inside the RS 125 carb assembly, AP8106697 is the OEM “Gas Valve 40” slide specified for RS 125 and RS 125 Tuono applications (listed 1999–2010). The “40” calibration is part of the carb’s metering setup, so it matters for throttle response and consistency through the midrange.
When swapping a slide, inspect the slide guide surfaces and needle wear, since a fresh slide won’t correct a grooved guide or a loose needle fit. After installation, confirm smooth lift with the cable routed correctly and verify idle stability once the engine is at temperature.
