On Leonardo models, AP8106497 is the OEM pin used as a pivot or locating element on the 1996–2004 applications listed. It’s produced to the factory diameter and tolerance so it supports the intended alignment without introducing slop in the mechanism.
If the component has been running dry, the mating bore can wear faster than the pin, so check for ovaling before fitting new hardware. Proper retention and a light grease film usually prevent repeat wear.
