Motorcycle Spare Parts only sell genuine spare parts made by each manufacturer. The Oil Filter Union part has been manufactured by Piaggio and is brand new and dispatched in its original packaging.
In the Scarabeo 125–200 Light oil filter housing, the union is the piece that sets clamp load and oil routing through the filter stack, and oil filter union AP3HDN000119 is the specified OEM union for the 2007–2011 Scarabeo 125–200 i.e. light and related carb/IE Light variants. It’s machined to the correct thread and sealing geometry so the filter element seats correctly without bypassing or weeping at the housing interface.
Replace it if the threads are damaged, the hex/drive surfaces are rounded, or the union has been overtightened and no longer seals reliably. Always inspect the mating face and the O-ring/gasket stack during reassembly, since a distorted union can mask a sealing issue elsewhere in the housing.
