The Shock Absorber is a genuine spare part manufactured by Piaggio so you have peace of mind the Shock Absorber part being sold by Motorcycle Spare Parts is both original and new.
Suspension behavior on Tuono V4 platforms depends heavily on correct damping and spring rate, which is why 899339 is specified for Tuono 1000 V4 R APRC models produced between 2011 and 2015. The unit is built to match the original ride height and linkage geometry.
As a direct-fit shock, it installs into the stock upper and lower mounts without spacers or modifications. Replacement is appropriate when leakage, fading damping, or worn bushings compromise rear-end stability under load.
