This cable replaces the earlier AP8114411 reference and matches the original length and sheath stiffness used in the lock mechanism.
It is typically replaced when the original cable develops internal friction, corrosion, or delayed return, especially on bikes exposed to regular outdoor use. Proper routing during installation is critical to avoid sharp bends that can shorten service life.
