Covering the flywheel and stator area, 843567 is the “SAS” flywheel cover variant used on a broad set of Piaggio Group engines, including many small-displacement 4T scooters. It provides the physical barrier against water and debris while also accommodating routing/mounting provisions associated with secondary air system (SAS) configurations where fitted.
The MSP listing shows it supersedes multiple earlier cover references, which is typical when castings are revised for compatibility or minor feature changes. Correct fit at the sealing surface and around cable/grommet points is what prevents charging-system contamination and oil seepage in the magneto cover area.
