On Shiver 900 models with Kayaba forks, the 2B004405 pump wheel assembly forms part of the hydraulic system that manages fork damping. Its machining and balance match the internal cartridge requirements to maintain consistent oil flow.
A worn or damaged wheel leads to irregular damping force, so replacing it during fork service ensures the fork behaves as designed. Using the OEM assembly avoids compatibility issues inside the cartridge.
