Within Piaggio engine cases and CVT housings, the 006632 snap ring is responsible for holding bearings and shafts in place under load. It’s used across Liberty, MP3, Vespa Primavera/Sprint, and several iGet models, reflecting its role in many factory assemblies.
Snap rings tend to lose tension after repeated removals or heat cycles. Replacing them during a rebuild helps prevent axial movement that can damage gears or roller bearings. Mechanics familiar with Piaggio drivetrains know that a fresh ring is far more reliable than reusing a fatigued one.
