In saddle and fuel-tank assemblies across numerous GPR 50 and GP1 platforms, the 00047030400 Stopring D4 acts as a retaining clip for small-diameter shafts and pins. Its D4 size makes it suitable for guiding points in helmet-compartment hinges, tank pivots and other mechanisms that rely on a fixed axial stop.
When these assemblies loosen over time, replacing the Piaggio Stopring D4 brings back the defined travel limits the hinge or linkage depends on. It’s a small part, but a new circlip can eliminate side-to-side play and prevent the pin from working free, especially on bikes ridden on rougher terrain.
