Several Derbi and Aprilia center-stand assemblies use the 00000061061 ball as part of the detent or pivot mechanism. It mates with spring and plate components to give the stand its defined engagement when deployed or retracted.
If the stand action feels rough or fails to lock confidently, a worn Piaggio Ball Bearing often plays a role. Replacing it restores the crisp indexing the assembly depends on, especially on older GPR and RS 50 frames where the original ball may have developed flat spots.
