Model Description
Based on the same, modernized, 1151cc V-twin powertrain that debuted on the Griso in 2005 (and was boosted to 102bhp in 2011), the Norge 1200 is a
classic, twin-cylinder tourer intended as a rival for BMW’s popular RT boxer. Despite being a decent bike (Guzzi’s torquey, flexible, shaft-drive motor is ideally suited to powering a tourer), the Norge, as with so many Guzzis, never quite lived up that expectation. It’s an OK tourer, complete with lots of comfort, an adjustable, tall screen and panniers, but it lacks the speed, efficiency, sophistication and refinement of its German rival. With few significant updates, the Norge also fell behind in terms of specification. It’s still an OK, characterful alternative, however.
