Model Description
Partly prompted by 2017’s onset of the new Euro4 emissions regulations, Austrian firm KTM gave its adventure bike family a significant revamp for 2017. The short-lived, ‘entry-level’ 1050 went, replaced by this new KTM 1090 Adventure. While the ‘old’ 1190, both in standard and R forms, was replaced by the new 1290 Super Adventure S and 1290 Super Adventure R respectively. The old 1290 Super Adventure, meanwhile, was renamed as 1290 Super Adventure T (for ‘touring). As such, the new 1090 fulfills exactly the same role as the old 1050 but, now producing 125bhp, with more power. Confusingly, a 95bhp version was also made available.
