Pad rattle, uneven pad return, or corroded retaining hardware are the usual reasons to replace this set, and AP8133760 covers the pins plus caliper spring components used to locate and tension the pads on the listed Atlantic and Scarabeo front-caliper applications (model range shown 2003–2008). Dimensions and spring rate are matched to the caliper’s pad channel geometry so pad movement stays controlled under vibration and thermal cycling.
Replacing the hardware as a set is preferable to mixing old pins with a new spring clip, since wear grooves and corrosion on the pins can accelerate pad chatter and make pad removal difficult later. Clean the pin bores and confirm free pad sliding before final assembly.
