Model Description
Designed to fill the gap between the FZ6-N and FZ1-N the 800cc FZ8 should have had a lot going for it. Unfortunately, it was launched too late (in 2010), by which time rivals such as Triumph’s Street Triple 675 had significantly raised the bar and, at the time, was too expensive. It was improved significantly with new exhaust, updated details and revised (cheaper) pricing in 2013 but by then, arguably, it was too late. Now superseded by Yamaha’s MT-09 it can still be a good used buy. It’s a good looking middleweight roadster with decent handling and a free-revving engine. No superstar, though…
