Model Description
Original KTM 620 Duke was arguably the first factory-built street ‘supermoto’. Derived from the Austrian firm’s big, 625cc, four-stroke motocrossers, it was given stylish street bodywork including a twin headlamp cowling and low front mudguard, came with high quality components including Brembo brakes, inverted forks and alloy rimmed wire wheels and was a great fun, stunt bike to ride. A 400cc version was also offered in some markets and in 1998 it was renamed the 640 (although capacity confusingly remained at 625cc) before being replaced by the Duke II in 1999.
