Model Description
Short-lived successor to ZZ-R1100 hyperbike was intended to be Kawasaki’s answer to the then class-leading Honda Super Blackbird and Suzuki’s Hayabusa, but somehow never really caught on despite, for many, mixing the best attributes of the two. Produced between 2000 and 2006, it’s a big and burly old-fashioned sports-tourer with plenty of roomy comfort and yet also a typically ballistic Kawasaki motor producing, in this case, 178bhp. On the downside, it couldn’t quite match either the more aerodynamic Blackbird for speed and sophistication, or the Suzuki for style. Still a great, underestimated bike though. Post-2004 examples, with radial brake calipers, are the ones to go for.
