Model Description
Unusual, semi US-flat track styled roadster was Spanish firm Derbi’s first 125cc+ bike in decades and, though interesting and well-built, was only a minor success. Like Aprilia’s Pegaso 660 of the era (both Derbi and Aprilia are owned by Piaggio) it’s powered by Yamaha’s liquid-cooled, four-stroke single-cylinder motor from the XT660 trail bike. With cool, urban styling and good quality components the Mulhacen 659 is a great city bike but shows its limits on longer runs.
